Service Description

The Willamette Wild Swim is an 11 mile, downriver adventure swim. Each two-person swim-paddle team gets in the swift moving waters of the Upper Willamette River. You will be accompanied by eagles, herons, and trout as the river meanders through breathtaking farmland. Each Swimmer/Paddler team will/must alternate (for at least 1 mile), and work their way down the fast moving river, dodging snags, rocks, and avoiding sand bars. A truly adventurous swim, participants are encouraged to stop, stand, eat, rest, or walk if the water gets shallow. Wetsuits are optional, swim buoys are not. The course is approximately 11 miles, and open to intermediate, experienced, and expert level open water swimmers. Included in registration: Cap, T-shirt. Each Team member is responsible for signing themselves up individually. Participants must wear a swim buoy, and provide required safety equipment, including permits for paddlecraft (SUPs, rafts, drift boats, kayaks, canoes, etc.) 10 feet long and longer (will need to carry one permit per boat when in use).
